Penn National makes it official in Vegas with M Resort
After buying up the debt that burdened the M Resort Spa Casino in Las Vegas last year, Penn National Gaming Inc. has the keys as well. The Wyomissing, Pa.-based company, which is building casinos in Columbus and Toledo, said Wednesday that it acquired the 90-acre M Resort in exchange for its debt. Penn (NASDAQ:PENN) in October shelled out $230.5 million to purchase all the bank and subordinated debt tied to the resort from Bank of Scotland Plc.
