
Kevin Hughes knew it wouldn?t be easy to volunteer full-time at Cornerstone Corp. for Shared Equity in Over-the-Rhine. The affordable housing nonprofit is located on Green Street in what can be a tough part of the historic neighborhood. Even so, he left his high-power job at Colliers Turley Martin Tucker in August 2009 to devote his time to Cornerstone, where he?d been serving as a board member. Now, after two years of raising money and giving tours and pushing Cornerstone to grow faster and help more of the low-income people it serves, Hughes is going back to work in the commercial real estate industry as I wrote about in this week?s paper...
